Setting up Classic Printers with GSuite

I have 2 schools with one gusite domain schoolabc.com I have created a user named Print@schoolabc.com. Each school has 3 Printers and 2 copiers that are not cloud ready. I have a windows server in each location where i added these printers and copiers.  Some users have windows pcs and some with chromebooks.

I login to chrome browser on each of the servers as Print@schoolabc.com and add the printers/copiers then share them.  All is working fine until either the server reboots or other chrome issues. Then users cant print. Sometimes i have to open chrome and log back in, others where chrome is already open and logged in i have to log out of chrome restart it and relogin as the print user.

This is not reliable is there another way that to set this up without buying cloud ready printers?  How are you IT Admins for schools handling printing?

Seems like there may be some confusion here.

GSuite has nothing to do with local printers.

Cloud printers... Unsure what this might mean...

You'll setup local printers + then connect to them from local computers.

When you print anything, location of print is determined by whatever output device you have configured as your default... or an alternative device, is a manual device selection is made.

All this relates to your local config.

Be the same if you print from Microsoft Word or Firefox connected to Gsuite to read your email.

Thanks for the response but this is for Printing from chromebooks to classic printers. Windows printing works fine.

There are cloud print adapters but they are pricey  $250+.. You could use raspberry pi's and roll your own. https://www.howtogeek.com/169566/how-to-turn-a-raspberry-pi-into-a-google-cloud-print-server/

I would like to know how admins that manage schools handle printing.

google cloud printing is one factor you have to consider when you budget google apps. The raspberry PI is the cheapest method but it isn't plug and play.  The Cloud print adapters @ $250 are worth considering only if replacing the printer is > $250.  You have to weigh the alternatives.

Im not familiar with raspberry pies but how it that different then using a server? I would assume you will still need to sign into chrome on the pie to connect to the printer. Im looking for a solution where i dont need to worry about the unit rebooting and i have to remote in to login to chrome in order for the printers to work.
