Could you point out the best way to install oleTreeView and oleImageList on a new laptop that uses VFP?

Hi Experts

Could you point out the best way to install oleTreeView and oleImageList on a new laptop that uses VFP?

A form that uses these controls does not work on the new laptop, I think due to the inexistence of them.

(The same form runs perfectly on a desktop).

Thanks in advance!

Hi Eduardo,

the best you can do is to copy the appropriate OCX files from the desktop to your laptop and register them by REGSVR32 from SysWOW64 Windows folder.

How to find the appropriate files is described e.g. here: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/9840c496-ffb5-47aa-b555-7c9aa9cd742c/oletreeview-form-generates-ole-errors-on-new-laptop?forum=visualfoxprogeneral

Hi Pcelba

Done for oleTreeView.

I couldn't find  oleImageList   .OCX correspondent. Do you know?
Eduardo FuerteDeveloper and AnalystAuthor Commented:
I guess the image list and the treeview live in the same ocx. Am I right?

Yes, it should be in the same OCX. Do you see the Image List control in the list when inserting the control to a form?

The above is valid for controls v 6.0.

Controls v 5.0 are in the comctl32.ocx file.
