ESXi 6.5 power on

I'm using esxi free 6.5 to host a vm. The vm was working fine until we had a power outage. Now when I try to power on the vm it stuck at 0% for a long time (more than 10 minutes)
I need to cancel  the power on and power on again.  it makes the power on process more than 20 minutes .  any advice?

When you had the Power Outage, did the Host and VM just go OFF in an uncontrolled manner ?

It's possible the VM has become corrupted and eventually will fail ?

Hi Andrew,

yes, that was the case. The host was on UPS but it went out of battery before the power came back on.
Therefore, the host  and  VM's was cut.
This issue only happened on the machine with server software installed.  Windows 7 VM on the same host has no problem to power on.

Will it be possible related the orphan snapshot?
If you have a snapshot associated with that virtual machine, the chances are even greater that it is corrupted.
Currently, I have removed the snapshot  associated with  the machine.
It takes a while but successful.

Both VM are currently on and functioning as usual.
Any recommended course of action?
