LCD Replacement Part Confusion

I only know a little bit about LCD screens and I was hoping someone could answer this question.  I have an LCD I need to replace for a customer, part NV156FHM-N48.  The cost on it is significantly higher than if I was to purchase NV156FHM-N46.  Can someone tell me if I can use either screen and what the difference is?  They are both IPS 30 pin EDP.  The only difference I just now see is the N48 does not have screw mounts.  Is there any other difference?

First, LCD screens are old. LED screens are now 6 or 7 years old and LCD screens are not seen much any more.

So that said, it is unlikely it is a touch screen. Could be and if so that will make the screen more expensive.

TFT screens (?) were brighter and more expensive. That is another reason.

Finally see if this was screen only or the part included the LID, Cold Cathode tube and wireless antenna wiring.

Not much different between the two, http://www.panelook.com/modelcompare.php?ids=29131,30192

Oh, BTW all laptop screens are LCD as far as I know, an "LED" screen for a laptop is a LCD display with LED backlights as opposed to the old ones that had fluorescent lamps as the light source.

The answer MASQ gave above is correct. Here are two links to the specs of each screen:

The 46: http://www.panelook.com/NV156FHM-N46_BOE_15.6_LCM_overview_29131.html
The 48: http://www.panelook.com/NV156FHM-N48_BOE_15.6_LCM_overview_30192.html

And I also agree, the 46 will not fit where the 48 did without some modifications.

This answers my question!  Go figure size would be the main factor, but now I know what I have to get and what to tell the customer.  Thank you!
