Office 2010 updates for Windows 2016
Hello
On a HyperV VM (Windows Server 2016) Windows Update downloaded for installation 3 OFfice 2010 Update
(KB4018313, KB4462174 and KB4461579) . These 3 updates are now ready for installation.
THe problem is that Office 2010/2013/2016/2019 is not installed and has never been installed on this VM
I did not installed these 3 updates for Office 2010 since I do not know if this is safe for the stability of my VM
Any idea why these updates where downloaded ? Can I cancel this updates? How?
Thank you

The Microsoft Support Article for KB4462174 does not list Server 2016.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=57871
It says "Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista"
Is the server running Exchange ? That may be the reason these security updates are trying to install. This information is buried in this article:
https://www.qualys.com/research/security-alerts/2019-02-12/microsoft/
but I do not see a reference for Server 2016.
Perhaps hide the updates until it can be determined whether to install on Server 2016.

Hello,
I am noticing now that an ISV application has installed on the server " Microsoft Access Database ENgine 2010"
That should be the reason of the problem
I will ask the ISV vendor
By the way in Windows 2016 it is not possible to hide updates. Is it?

You should be able to click or tap to select each update that you want to hide and block from installing, then press Next. Then "Show or hide updates" as needed.

It seems that in Windows 2016 I have no choice to select which update I want to install
Nowhere to click to select/unselect update to install
Or I am missing something?
