Could you point how to deactivate the "Aero" feature from Win7?

Hi Experts

Could you point how to deactivate the "Aero" feature from Win7?

To gain memory on an old PC that runs as a file server I'm planning to do that.

Thanks in advance.

Agree with the above. You are looking for the Classic Theme (Basic).

Then, in Advanced System Settings, you can uncheck most of the Performance Settings.  Here is an example.

Just in my case is Win7.

Same settings. The method has not changed between settings.  There is no need to uncheck these on a fast machine

In the above performance options, select "adjust for best performance" and it should deselect all checkboxes automatically and eventually remove all AERO effects as well
