Where is the GPO linked?<br />

Assuming it is not Default Domain policy, the PC would need to be in a separate OU and the policy linked to the OU that the computer resides in. &nbsp;GPO's are applied to the computer using the Default Domain policy by default - regardless of where they reside in AD hierarchy.<br />
<br />
When you add a new computer to the domain it is added to the default Computer container unless you pre-created the computer object somewhere else - like another OU.<br />
<br />
If you just added the computer and it is in the Default container but created a new GPO and did not link to that container then GPO's would not be applied.<br />
<br />
Just a few examples of where a policy would not apply by default.
