Help tweak settings in Remote Desktop services [RDS]
I am setting up a terminal server for some of our employees on the road; I published to them the app’s they need.
However, would love if I could give them the ability to save documents they download locally to the server,
Please advice
In addition, I am looking to reduce the time from clicking on application to being connected to the session, what I did I published calendar and created a task schedule that as soon they login it lurches the calendar, once the connection is made when they open the application they want to work on, it opens immediately, I am not so excited about the calendar pops up, and if they x out the calendar it will again take time when they open their applications, is there a hidden app or something nice like a clock I can publish instead of the calculator?

You can publish ANY application that is installed on the server the 'default collection apps' are simply proof of concept applications
David, have not used a terminal server in a long time. Can you also publish other services on the same local network, or only on the server?

If I understand you correctly you're saying that even if by default explorer is not listed In the publish remote app programs list but there is a way to add it to the list of available apps from the control panel. I tried figuring it out but was not successful please provide me with more details how to do this it will be greatly appreciate

Thank you so much
So you could use a VPN to connect to the terminal server so they have access to the corporate services they need. In addition, being on the VPN would add an extra layer of security for all their work while traveling and on-line. Once connected via theVPN, they should be able to connect to the server to save their files.
And remember, when they are connected via VPN, they are basically in the corporate network (if set up to allow full access) so things that they do at work should work while traveling, including access to internal resources.
