Microsoft Office 2019 Word Preview Does Not Work

WIN10 computer running Office 2019. Word will not show a document in the preview screen. I think it has something to do with the template either corrupt or something in the registry saved incorrectly. Any ideas?

Standard troubleshooting would include:

-try on a different user profile (create a test user) - is it working there?
-is it working with different documents?
--if not--
-uninstall and reinstall office 2019

I can't uninstall and I'm sure I can get it to work under a new profile. However at this stage I can't remove Office because it causes other issues with a content management system. In short the OST file usually needs to be deleted or have time to catch up and Outlook becomes unresponsive. Due to this I'm hoping to repair the .dotm file directly.

More info regarding what happened. Downloaded and installed the default 2019 Office which installed the 64 bit version. Worlox, the content management system wouldn't launch documents and Worldox support informed me that the 64 bit add-in is unstable. We uninstalled 64 bit and installed 32 bit office when Word then started having the issue. I believe the 64 bit addon that changed the template is still either saved in the registry or moved the template.
Test what I told you. It needs to be done. Different profile, same profile, different document. Then we will know more.
You're missing my point, I know it will work so assume it does. I can't use the new profile so what does it matter. It's a setting that was changed going from 64 bit to 32 bit with the Worldox add-in. What got added, what registry setting changed and may still be showing for 64? Did the template get moved? If so what is the default .dotm location for 2019 can I confirm the template is located here?

I remember the Worldox tech adding / changing the dotm. file under \\Users\%profile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates. Is there a way to reset this .dotm file? Is it possible the 64 bit caused the registry to look in a different place or different template name?
I am not missing your point. We have different approaches, that's all. I can only offer what I would do, but I can't answer your special demands about the .dotm file, sorry.
Appreciate your help McKnife. My posts are meant constructively. If I can't get this resolved before business hours end today I'll be able to work more aggressively on it after hours and will let you know. Thanks again.
