vm's slower network speed

I have setup a Windows Server 2016 with Hyper V. I have created two vm's. Everything appears to be alright with the setup, however the vm's do not receive the network speed of the host machine. They are only receiving a percentage. What would be the cause of this awful situation?

Are both VM's running a high CPU usage or just one? If both it's likely the virtual switch, if just one the VM's NIC is likely misconfigured. They should be running at or near 0%.

What is your NIC configured for on each VM? Is it using a Gig NIC?

Having a bit more information would help what NICs are in usem how testing was done. What "slower" means to you.

Hi,

WORKS2011, my setup is identical to yours. The vm's are at 0% CPU usage and my vm's are configured using a gigabit NIC.

Cliff,  I haven't put this server onsite so my testing was going to internet speed websites and the vm consistently gets about 55% of the host machines readings. On other similar setups, they are almost identical.
