Sharing One Drive files with someone who doesn't have it
Hello Experts,
I am working with a client and asked him to send me or share a large file. They use one drive but I do not have one drive, can the client still share with me the file from his one drive and what are the steps.
Thanks,

If their One Drive is set to enable sharing externally, they can add you explicitly to that share with your email address and you can access the file.
I think the client can put your ID into OneDrive and give you permission to just one folder.
You can also do this with Drop Box if the client is willing.

ok so now I understand we have to allow one drive to be shared externally, is there a guide to do that?

This may or may not be the case now, but In the past I've found that by sharing a folder, someone has to login with a Microsoft account even if the sharing is public ... BUT when sharing just one file the user was able to download without login.
Thanks and good luck with One Drive sharing.
