Need help with understanding WMI Query

I am trying to understand part of the format of the following Query

Set colItems = objWMIService.ExecQuery("Select * from Win32_OperatingSystem",,48)

I've been unable to find out what the 48 means, can you help
Also, where do I look to see the format of the Query, like what belongs between the two commas -  ,,48

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

48 (Hex value &H30 ) is a flag bits. It's combination of two bits wbemFlagForwardOnly (32) and wbemFlagReturnImmediately (16)
Two commas mean there a missing optional parameter (language, which is "WQL" by default) between them.
