Need help getting contacts to update on phone and syncing with Outlook on desktop.
New Samsung Android phone is no longer updating contacts from Outlook.
Prior to switching to a new phone, whenever I added a contact into my Outlook on my computer, the information would update in the contacts on my phone. Now that I have setup outlook on my phone, I cannot get the updates to show up when I add or change a contact in my Outlook on my desktop.
I did notice that the new Outlook mobile version (which comes with my O365 subscription), does not have an actual contact section.
I'm running Outlook 2016 on the desktop.
The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S7.
Help....

when I go thru the listing of my account, I do not have an o365 account listed, I do have an Office Account, but the only option is to sync, I click it, but nothing seems to happen???

Ok, where do I disable the sync contacts?
I did go into the outlook app and the contacts were not enabled, but not sure where to disable and re-enable sync?

You do not need to disable if you have not enabled sync contacts before.

Ok, I let it sit overnite after turning contacts on in the app, but I'm still not getting new contacts.... what should i try next?
Have you checked the app permission?
If your Outlook for Android app has contacts permission, new contacts from your Office 365 subscription will be added to your phone when you enable sync contacts.

Checking again to confirm, Outlook app on the phone has permissions enabled for Calendar, Contacts, and Location.
Next I went into the accounts section of my phone, and click on my company email address, and there is a sync button, I click that, and it takes me to the 'sync account' page and they are all enabled > Contacts, Email, Calendar, and Tasks.....
What next?

Just for clarification for any future users of this question, when I entered the Outlook APP, there is no 'sync contacts' in the settings menu, you have to click on the account in the settings menu to access the 'sync contacts' option.
it was not turned on, for whatever reason, but I enabled mine, I will check later to see if all my updates came thru.

Are you using o365 personal edition?

Do you install the outlook for android app from Google Play Store?

Jackie,
No, i'm not using the personal edition, I'm using the business edition.
Yes I did install from Play Store.
Your last instruction sent me looking in the right direction, just that the original screen shots didn't work, as the version differences were slight, but enough that I had to do some digging to find it.
Thanks a million for your help, it's now working.

Click "Sync contacts" and you will see the contacts in your O365 in the Contact app of your phone.
