I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

Don't think it is doable as this dialog box is build in access.

On the other hand, you can make a form that will behav exactly like it.

You're not the first to want to do this.  Check out this link I found by googling "access vba add attachment":

Personally, I just never add attachments to my Access databases, I always store those files on a file server and only store the pointer to the file in Access.  Attachments rapidly eat up the very limited amount of space accessible in an Access database.

Jeannie:  I've attached a demo file that does what you want it to.  You can examine the design to see how it works.

Enjoy!
