How to determine what causes File Explorer to crash.
Resolution: Update Windows 10 from 1803 to 1809
Executed Dell Support Assist: No hardware issues were found and all the drivers were updated and I believe everything else in the Dell support assist tool box, were executed.
Plan to run a full office repair next, even though the problem has not re-occured
Since my notes is not on me, I believe I executed SFC /scannow
I also believe DLP was removed, but I was not able to confirm
What else should I be looking at to determine the cause (File Explorer hanging)?
Note, no actions were performed that would trigger DLP, so it could be incompatible software
I may have to execute drivers verifier next to determine what drivers that are incompatible
If the problem re-ccurs, I will disable all services except Microsoft and enable one by one to see which one causes the problem.
I will also see if the problem happens in Safe Mode
I did not check to see if the Antivirus software was running in the background
