How to do a bare metal backup using veritas netbackup?

This using Veritas NetBackup 8.11 support backups into tapes and disks. The routine daily backup jobs are working fine. However, we wanted to have "bare metal" backup on one of our SuSE linux physical server, so as, we can restore all the OS + data from the backup. How to conduct this ad hoc backup so as all the data (be it OS, application, and so) so as it can be restored if needed? This server has all the licenses configured.

Thanks in advance.

Depends what you mean by "bare metal", the term has several meanings. Do you want to be able to restore onto dissimilar hardware?
