Troubleshoot Micriphone in Windows 10

My recorder is not working when I’m conference in GotoMeeting, Zoom, Skype, etc.  I have checked the sound configuration and there is a recording tab and the device is enabled and says working fine.  How can I troubleshoot to assure that my microphone is working fine for my next conference?

Paul SauvéRetiredCommented:
it is possible that this mic is defective

if possible, try a plug-in mic tom see what happens
janaAuthor Commented:
Thank you but no.  Did find the problem; it was the privacy settings.  When its OFF, mic will not work.  Clicked it ON and all is ok.
