Looking for input on best way to backup SharePoint online.

Looking for input on best way to backup SharePoint online.  I have been doing some online searching and found Veeam advertising a backup solution for SharePoint.  https://go.veeam.com/backup-office-365

There are many 3rd party applications that can backup SharePoint Online content. I think there is even a plugin for Synology storage devices...

If however it is also desired to backup workflows and similar, I wish you good luck in your search.

Hello, I have faced the same problem. The solution that I found was to use a software called Metalogix. One of the things that this software does is migration. I created an Azur environment and installed the software. I then created a PowerShell script that will migrate all information including all the bells and whistles. This includes permissions, WF, Lists, Libraries. Basically a full backup/migration. I did a full backup of all the sites on a Saturday and then did an incremental backup Sunday - Friday. One of the very cool part of the software is that it will generate a PowerShell script to use to for backing up one site. It was a great start on creating my script. Hope this helps.
