Microsoft Azure AD Connect syncs but doesn't do anything - SMTP Proxy Addresses can't be added. (No Error Message)
We have many small customers that use Office 365 with Azure AD Connect.
One Customer has the following Problem:
We added a new Domain to his O365 (DNS correct, domain is validated)
We added new SMTP Address (Old and New Domain) to his AD Users (ProxyAddress Attribute)
Azure AD Connect recognizes the new smtp Addresses, and adds them to the user.
The Problem is:
Although we see in the Synchronization Service Manager that the additional smtp's get added to the O365 Users, they don't show up in O365.
Neither O365, nor IDFix or our Synchronization Manager see any errors.
I also checked the following Microsoft article, nothing really aplies to our case:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2643629/one-or-more-objects-don-t-sync-when-the-azure-active-directory-sync-to
The Problem applies to all our currently synced AD Users.
I attached an ADSync Diagnostic Report as an attachement.
We tried the following until now:
1. Updating Azure AD Connect
2. Completely Removing Azure AD Connect
3. Reinstall Azure AD Connect anew
Nothing seems to work, i can't get a single error Message from O365 or our AD Server...
Kind Regards
Max

ASKER
Already tried this a few times, delta and initial.
Didn't solve the Problem.

Does the new domain show to be added under accepted domains in O365 in the Exchange online admin center?
ASKER
Yes, it shows up as added and is verified.
I checked the DNS Settings multiple times on both domains. (new and old)
we also have problems adding additional SMTP Addresses of the old domain
IDFix also showed no errors or duplicates in our system

you mentioned you added the new address to the proxy addresses. did you add it like the following:
