asked on
change papercut site server on MP C4504ex
Afternoon,
I'm having to decommission a server, I've been trying to find out how to change the site server within the printer itself. Does anyone have any idea since I can't get any concrete answers.
Thanks
Alex

I think you've misunderstood the issue.
So, each printer has a papercut applet installed on it, this applet is hard coded to the old 01 server, I need to change it to the new 02 server and I can't. If I can find the applet setting I should be able to change it.
It's not the printer queues or the drivers with the issue, it's an issue with the papercut applet itself, the printers work fine.
Papercut has what's called a "Site Server" this is what I need to change on the printer itself.

Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

Likely just setup the MP C4504ex IP, then run the installer.
If you're actually going to setup another server, normally the process is to disable the MP C4504ex IP, cable the MP C4504ex directly to the new server, expose the MP C4504ex by way of the server IP... so specifically you'll flag the MP C4504ex as a shared device, so anyone can access the MP C4504ex by your new server's IP.
