Windows 10 BitLocker enabled and no key

I have a Hard Drive that is locked by Bitlocker the customer does not have the key to unlock.  I have tried everything I know, put HDD in my Sata dock it shows the drive as BirLocked
booted system with a Windows 10 OS CD got to a command prompt tried all the manage -bde commands I could find still no decrypt key.  Any ideas? This HDD is in a Dell All-In-One with Windows 10 Pro

The customer needs to find the key.  Obviously, if you could just break in, BitLocker would be useless.

So get the key or replace the drive and start over.

No key, no data - as simple as that.
Ask him to remember where he put the recovery key. The recovery key creation is mandatory and windows will make you either print it or save it to a file before you encrypt.

McKnife is correct.  Without the key there is no way to recover data from that drive within the space of a human lifetime.

Microsoft puts backdoors into all sorts of things for the NSA and this is probably not an exception, but that does the average consumer no good.

If this drive has Windows 10 installed on it, then if you can get it to boot in the original machine, AND you have some login credentials, you should be able to access data that way, or even remove bit locker encryption. Safe more boot would even work.
