Unable to add printer on terminal server - kernel mode driver

Hi, i have a 2008 R2 terminal server, and i'm trying to add printers from a server 2016 print server, it keeps saying its not compatible because of kernel mode 4.0 drivers not being allowed.

I checked all of my group policies, i cannot find this anywhere, anyone ran into this?

On a TS, you don't need drivers. If users redirect printers that are installed at their client machines, these will use the "easy print feature" at the server, which does not need server-side drivers. Try it out.

This is a different scenario, so users are not redirecting anything. I need it set up so it's shared off of a print server.

So users have no printers installed, that they could possibly redirect in order to have a solution?
