Interent access via WatchGuard after Server Change

I am in the process of changing out a file server.  It is the only server on the network.
Access to the internet is through a WatchGuard XM25 appliance
The Domain name is the same, but the DNS has changed.  The WatchGuard provided internet connection for a few minutes, and now there is no internet connection.  I can remote into the network with the WatchGuard SSL-VPN utility, and access the computers.

Any thoughts on why I cannot access the internet from behind the WatchGuard Appliance?

The old server was 2008R2 and the new server is 2016Standard

do the whatchguard use the internal DNS as forwarder?
so if you remove one (old) DNS server the Whatchguard is unable to resolve names for Proxy/scannig/contentfiltering after DNS cache is timed out.

That seems to be what is happening.  Unfortunately the watchguard appliance failed.  I am in the process of installing another appliance.

Will see how that one goes

On a new installation, how would one get the watchguard to resolve the first time.

I thank you for your time, but unfortunately an incorrect DNS server entry was the culprit.  The server had first been put in service in a test environment, and the DNS of the test environment did not clear when the number was changed for the in service environmnet
