Probably. I've seen the S2Member plugin used for this kind of thing, and it seemed to work well. One issue I ran into was that file downloads from within the members-only section were able to be directly linked to (and downloaded) by non-members, and ended up being indexed by Google. From memory an additional plugin was needed to address that, but the plugin description suggests that maybe that feature is available now within the S2Member plugin so perhaps the additional plugin is no longer required for file security.<br />
