Converting *.MOV files to a different format
I am running Windows 10 on my laptop. I recently received some high definition *.MOV files, which I need to combine and play on a Blu Ray device (through the USB input). None of the Blu Rays I've tried can read the *.MOV files, though they play fine on my computer. What is the best program for converting the *.MOV files to a comparably high quality format that can be read by a Blu Ray USB input? I tried converting with my Cyberlink Power Director software, but the outcome (depending on the format I try to use) results in either a video that works without audio, or audio that works without video, but I can't get it converted to a workable MP4 format that provides both. Please advise.
Thanks,
Phil

Scott, Quick question, I just noticed that the VLC website has two different programs (Media Creator and Movie Creator). Which one has the conversion capability?

Just download VLC, the main program. I am on my phone now, from memory, File > Convert.
Handbrake is an option too but VLC should work.
