Our campus has some Cat6 structured cabling terminating at a patch panel (T-568B).

Whenever I crimp the end with a RJ45 connector,  also using code T-568B, I get shorts between all the twisted pairs on every cable!

3 & 6
4 & 5
7 & 8

What am I missing? Does Cat6 cable need a special RJ45 crimp?

Any guidance would be hugely appreciated.
