I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You cannot do it now.

The feature to delete emails directly from the desktop notification is no longer available in Outlook 2016.

you can try and set the outlook.exe compatibility mode to Win 7:

  • Right Click the outlook.exe file;
  • troubleshoot compatibility;
  • choose troubleshoot program;
  • check: 'The program worked in earlier versions of Windows';
  • select the last working Windows version(Windows 7);
  • select 'Test the program';
  • click 'Next';
  • restart Outlook.

You should now be able to delete incoming mails using the notification again.
