Firewall app to block further communications with an existing Whatsapp party

For Whatsapp group, a member can stop receiving further
chats by exiting the group but for a 1-to-1 whatsapp, this
can't be done.

Is there some sort of firewall app to block further communications
with an existing contact party in Whatsapp (as well as SMS)?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is no such firewall app as WhatsApp is using End-to-end encryption and it is not technically feasible to design such app as the real network data in transit will not be seen by any third party app.

If you want to block someone who has messaged you, you can do so by clicking on their phone number or their contact info, and selecting Block and confirming you want to block them.

Hi Martin
Think your suggestion is for someone who whatsapp me for the 1st time,
then I'll be prompted to Block or Add.

But what if it's existing person who has been chatting with me?

Anythign for SMS?
