Outlook alternative more stable less buggy

What is the best Microsoft Outlook alternative?
I am looking for something more stable, and less buggy, and less bulky than Microsoft Outlook.

Dear 100Questions:

You are more than welcome to use Mozilla Thunderbird, or Mail (Windows 10) which comes with the MS Operating System.

Thank you,

If you have Exchange or O365, I would suggest using OWA, if you are using a different email system you can do a google search for a lot of different clients, and take your pick. alot are free or have free trials.
It really depends on what features you need, what email hosts you need to connect to, etc...

Thunderbird is a decent free alternative.

Also, Windows 10 Mail could be an option if you don't need all the power of Outlook.

Or there are some relatively low cost commercial products like:

Windows 10 desktop.
@100questions (if I only had 100!),

I would +1 to Thunderbird, but know that it is not as robust as outlook.  You might want to try the built-in mail app, it is pretty nice and free. There is also Eudora, it is still being updated and, with the help of some plugins, is almost as powerful as Outlook, in some respects it is superior.  I haven't used Eudora in over 5 years, but I used to use it exclusively.
One thing you need to consider in choosing an alternative email client is how easy it would be to migrate your messages to another email client a few years down the road if the one you choose is later discontinued, becomes unsupported by the next iteration of Windows that you are forced into using, or the developers make changes that don't suit you.

For example, if you decided to use Mozilla Thunderbird, you would probably want to import your Outlook messages into it.  The following information should work and still be valid:
https://smallbusiness.chron.com/export-outlook-thunderbird-50375.html
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Import_.pst_files

If you later decided to change to another email client you would have to try and find accurate information on how to migrate your messages.

What works now may not work a few years down the road, though.
