DHCP Server stops handing out IP addresses.
Our DHCP server about every week has been causing us issues. It won't hand out IP addresses to clients. What happens is when I log into the DHCP server and go to task manager I see that the service: svchost.exe is running our CPU at 100%. When I kill the service and it restarts itself the issue is resolved. What is causing this issue? Or what can I look at to see where I can further research this.
Our server is Windows 2008 R2 Standard
When I go into the logs I don't see anything under DHCP to me that stands out.

Hi John, thank you for your response. If it is option 1 how would I check to see if that was the issue?
For option two: We do not have any viruses.
I'm still working on option 3 for you.

For Server DHCP Scope please review this article below

First thing check your scope to see the duration for which IPs are leased.
Right click on the scope and look at stats.
It will tell you how many IPs make up the scope and how many are allocated.
You've not included any detail about the scope, how many addresses?
How many devices do you have?

Do you have wireless clients on your network? If so, are they all legitimate and expected? If your wireless encryption is weak and/or compromised then your DHCP server might be swamped with rogue clients wanting a free lunch...

Two: Check for viruses (Malwarebytes).
Three: Open Task Manager and see what if you can see what subservice of svchost is running. You may need SysInternals Process Explorer.
