asked on

login auth on mvc

i have classic mvc web app that have login/password stored in the database. so i have login/password entry webpage and validate again database table.
my question is:

1. what is the best practice to store the userid / password so the secure member can access our admin area? we have admin area for user who can modify some information.
2. can you show me some example codes for single sign on using mvc? I hope to create gmail or facebook single sign on feature.

Thanks

1) Salted hashes for the password
2) Take a look at federated security and claims-based authentication.

C# is an object-oriented programming language created in conjunction with Microsoft’s .NET framework. Compilation is usually done into the Microsoft Intermediate Language (MSIL), which is then JIT-compiled to native code (and cached) during execution in the Common Language Runtime (CLR).
