Migrate User Profiles to New Domain
I'm working on transferring Windows 10 users from one active directory domain to another. I could not add a trust relationship between the two, so I have to manually remove and re-add each account. This isn't too bad as I only have 8 users to go through.
Although after beginning my first migration, I hit a wall because I cannot figure out how I can copy the user profile settings from the old domain account to the new domain account. I opened up Advanced System Settings > User Profiles to see if I could copy the profile, but the Copy To option is greyed out.
I found LapLink's PCmover Profile Migrator tool to migrate the profiles which I'm tempted to try. Though if there is a way to migrate the all user profile settings without purchasing a tool, I would prefer to take that route.

I downloaded the tool you listed above and have successfully migrated my first user profile.
Everything seems to be in place, except now that I'm on my new domain I can no longer sign into the user's Outlook account.
I moved from my old domain company.com to ad.company.com on the new server, and now Outlook will no longer authenticate the account.
We're using Office 365 and not Exchange, so I don't see why it's not synching. Any advice on how to get Outlook back up and running?
Thank you!

Let's take a step backwards here. I'm assuming that your Office 365 environment wasn't connected to your old domain via AD connect or anything like that correct? It's entirely separate?
Is your mail domain on Office 365 a different domain name than your local domain here? And because you made your new domain name a subdomain of the old, I'm also assuming that's just what you named it and it isn't actually a real subdomain of the original AD?
Depending on your answer, this might be a DNS issue if your new domain is locally authoritative and tou don't have your autodiscover record configured.

You're correct, Office 365 was not connected to my old domain.
My new AD domain is a subdomain of the domain that is used for email. The new subdomain is not setup as a subdomain with my domain registrar yet.
I think it's a DNS issue as well, how can I get Outlook to resolve the server request and get my users signed back in?
UPDATE:
It turns out my first user has a different email password than I expected. When I attempted to sign in my second user he was able to login without any issues.
Thanks for the help!

I can also tell you how to edit the registry to change the profile path, fix the NTFS permissions and then mount the user profile registry hive to fix the permissions. It is a PITA. Use the tool.
