Preventing notifications appearing on macbook

How to block all push notifications from websites etc on my mac book (which appear from right side edge) and permanently switch off this type of notification completely?

This is controlled by your specific browser... usually...

For example, in Chrome to edit your push notifications to change/delete some...

Click options (3x dots top right of browser) -> settings -> content settings -> notifications -> change/delete entries

Its not coming from within the browser, its coming from the right hand side of the screen I could be doing anything e.g. using MS Word. However I have done as you suggested and removed all of them and unselected the check box for Allow websites to ask for permission.  SHould that fix it?
