Refer to https://community.mimecast .com/docs/ DOC-1622-c onnect-pro cess-setti ng-up-your -outbound- email which is a bit more complex.
You'll use MimeCast as your mail relay system, where you setup your outgoing SMTP for every user, to flow through MimeCast.
Refer to the docs above + then to your MimeCast dashboard for the host/user/pass for setting up MimeCast as your relay.
Short: You'll setup the host/port/user/pass for all outgoing mail.
If you're using a GUI'ed system like Gmail, use the GUI.
For CMS sites like WordPress, use an SMTP plugin.
For site wide MTAs on Linux systems, follow any smart host setup guide for the MTA you're running - Postfix, EXIM, Sendmail, etc...
