Autodiscover in tablet

Hi,

When I set my O365 mailbox in my Android tablet I need to put all info manually like:

username: my email address
PW:
Server: Outlook.Office365.com

Is it normal? I though auto-discover should provide all info like in Outlook.

do you have autodiscover setup on your External DNS? you can go to exrca.com and test your autodiscover setup, but you will need to be sure to have an Autodscover CNAME record so that external mobile clients can contact your exchange server.

also you need to also have the automatic name on your SSL cert, something like autodiscover.domain.com

But autodiscover works in my Iphone no need to add server name manualy so why it different in android tablet?
It should not be any different. May you are setting it up a bit different on your android but autodiscover doesn't distinguish between IOS and Android.
Android OS version of your tablet?

Android 4.2.2
Well it depends on the app and the account type you are trying to configure. But in general yes, they should be able to utilize Autodiscover to configure the mailbox.

If you are using the Outlook mobile app, it has another feature called "autodetect", which among other things does a check on the MX record (and this has priority over the autodiscover record!). You can learn more about it for example here: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/cf3a7541-9282-428d-a828-6dbacdcad144/clear-data-from-prodglobalautodetectacomplinet?forum=onlineservicesexchange)
