Recommendation for software based 32 band equalizer requested

I use a Behringer DEQ2496 32 BAND audio equalizer in a special stereo audio system. Does any expert know of a comparable software version of a 32 band equalizer with at LEAST 18dB boost & cut on each band? I have a defect in my DEQ2496 and must have the power supply rebuilt with quality capacitors instead of the poor quality ones Behringer used in manufacture. However, until the repair is completed I thought that there might be an acceptable software version similar to the Behringer. It does NOT have to include every function of the 2496. There seem to be many available but I am hoping that some expert just might have some positive personal experience with one in particular that she/he could recommend.

If you're using a software equalizer you'll normally use this in some sort of audio system, so for example a VST equalizer.

Describe your actual audio chain + where a software equalizer will fit.

Likely someone can assist.
My brother is a sound engineer and this is what he has suggested https://www.waves.com/plugins/geq-graphic-equalizer

Waves is a reputable audio software company so it's going to be better quality than a noisy behringer.

Experts! WOW! I had NO idea whatsoever that software existed that has the extreme capabilities of the suggested programs. I am amazed! The sound system I have is a bit off the wall utilizing old and new components that are suited to what I want the system to do and how I want it to sound. I go from some of the very first Cerwin Vega 320MT speakers modified by the much missed Gene Czerwinski the founder of Cerwin Vega all the way up to the most modern piece I have being the Behringer DEQ2496 and DCX2496 with a Parasound preamp and McIntosh MC2100's bi-amped. Upon first appearances I could probably totally eliminate the DEQ2496 and never miss it. I have a LOT of research and learning to do before I move forward with this system. My initial difficulty was the DEQ would not powerup correctly. Upon checking it was discovered that of the 13 or so electrolytics on the power supply board SEVEN of them were very bad or had only 1/4 the capacitance of specs. They were all replaced with quality Nichicon caps and now all is well. It would take a long time to explain what this system consists of but suffice it to say that I like "TOO MUCH BASS". Many years ago Gene C. got tired of me complaining that I was blowing the 15" woofers that came with the 320MT system. He was kind enough to send me two 189E 18" Earthquaker subs and promised me that I would never burn them out. I am ashamed to admit, but I didn't believe him and purchased a spare 189E woofer "just in case". Just last year (!) I used that speaker only due to the waffle surround deteriorating. The voice coil was and is in perfect condition on the original just as he said it would be. I am rambling. Odd how I either rant or ramble often. Thanks so much for giving me such great new possibilities for my odd system. I appreciate it experts!! You guys are AMAZING!
