What type of Graphics Processor needed for working with AutoCad 2-D floorplans?

User wants to get a Windows Laptop to run AutoCad 2019
He sees lots of well-priced i5 units.

He is not working with 3-dimensional objects in AutoCad - mostly for 'blueprints' for construction.  Revet sometimes does 3D stuff that is relevant.

I know that the cheaper the laptop is, the less complex the graphics circuitry.

He saw a good deal on a Lenovo
Intel i5 mobile processor, 8 GB RAM, Intel UHD Graphics 620

Is this acceptable for his floorpans in AutoCad?

Thanks.

It should be OK given the use.  Make sure the machine can be upgraded to 16 GB if need be.

We generally use i7 but a good solid i5 high end should do.

You can get an i5 high end that will do this.  If the machine posted does not meet the specs, better with an i7 and spec it out the above requirements.

We have Auto Cad running at a client and older machines are i5 and working, Newer machines are i7

You want a good dedicated graphics card with programs liek Autocad & Sketchup.  Autocad LT 2019 recommends Recommended: 4 GB GPU with 106 GB/s Bandwidth and DirectX 11 compliant
Hi,

I would choose a laptop that is more powerful than the specs requirements (the recommended should be considered as a minimum)
I would not take under 16G of memory.
I would take a better graphic card.

All design application take a lot of resources even if your are not use all the features, sometimes just running the software itself...
Also you will have other application running in the background....
Plus if  you want to use it at least for 2 or 3 years...
