Wifi passwords and chromebooks

Do google chrome books store WiFi passwords?

I ask because I would like to connect a guest to a WiFi network, allow them to get what they need from the Internet, then immediately disconnect them from WiFi.   I am concerned that the password to our WiFi network may remain on the chrome book even when the connection is deleted.

This is the solution from Google, hope it helps.

Sign in to the Chromebook with the account designated as the owner.
At the bottom right, select the time.
Select Settings .
In the "Network" section, select Wi-Fi.
Select Known networks.
Find the network you want to forget, then select More Forget.
Do google chrome books store WiFi passwords?

Yes, as is the case for Windows, MAC and IOS.

So then you need to delete the profile manually (as was also noted above)

Apologies, I meant to ask something else.  If I do connect a chrome book to a WiFi network and then later remove the WiFi network, is there any way for that chrome book user to see the WiFi password?

The goal is to protect the WiFi password.

Thank you.  Is there a link to a reference that confirms your answer?
Not a single Link because all systems encrypt passwords one way or another so by experience in my case
i found the following information which may actually answer some questions.

it's not an easy option, but i guess someone could actually get that information.
