Can I automatically connect to a network printer

I have a network printer and I have to connect it everytime I log on.

I have a shortcut to the printer on my desktop and right click and connect that way. Is there anyway I can automate it so that the command runs to connect printer automatically when I log on

Install the Printer in Devices and Printers and make sure the install completes, restart and then test. I use Network Printers most places and so long as installed, I don't need to connect.

Yeah I did that and then as soon as I log off and log back on the next day it dropped out again.

Apparently advised some issue with citrix?

That could be. We do not use Citrix but have printers our Server 2012 network. So it could be what you suggest.

More information will be helpful.

Is the printer on a static IP address? (If not, it should be, otherwise the address can hop around whenever a DHCP lease expires.)

Is it attached to the LAN via WiFi, or by hardware cable? Hardware cable is considerably more reliable when it comes to network printing.

What is the printer manufacturer and model?

Can you show us a screenshot of the Windows printer properties screen showing the network setup?
