Now i understand i just need to create a microsoft account using the on prem email address and have tested this for an individual users but im not sure how to do this on mass for 200 users.

All help would be appreciated.

So you want Skype online for your company? If you already have a Tenant, make sure the email address is added to it as an accepted domain and then install AADConnect on a server (not a DC) in your domain. Set it up (Wizard is pretty good there) and it will sync the accounts for you. Will even Password Sync (Passwords are hashed several times so it is secure).

Ummm. Not sure what you are trying to do then. Are you trying to use the Skype Personal App? Or Skype for Business. If you are trying to create 200 Skype public ids, I cannot help you. No scripting I know of will do that. Someone else here may know of a way. Personally, I don't use the Skype Personal app anymore. We use only SFB.
