vSphere Upgrade

Need help to understand valid approach  with Best Practices to upgrade  vSPhere 4.1 to 6.5
What all are Kay Points to be observed here ?
Upgrade Path  so that I can get my Existing VC Config , DV Switch Config copied migrated to next valid version
How to set same config for my VC and dvSwitch  to be copied /replicated on next version of VC and dvSwicth?
What all are Benefits/drawbacks  to use VC as appliance/Windows @next level during upgrade
Can we Plan it with No downtime ? or if minimum outage if creating new infra then how to migrate existing to new one specially dv switch from 4.1 to next level

Thanks

It's quite simple really!

There is no upgrade path from vSphere 4.1 to 6.5

Thanks Andrew ,I think i have asked question in wrong way..

Actually  there is no upgrade Path to migrate 4.1 to 6.5 in one go..

https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/sim/interop_matrix.php#upgrade&solution=1

Let me put in other way... am looking for solution if we can achieve migration to version 6.5

Like in interop_matrix - We can go from 4.1 to 5.5 then to 6.5 ?

so how we will get switch migrated  from 4.1?

Can we  copy config from existing dv switch to new one in 5.5 ? and same for Vc config?

Or if any way just to help on vc and dv switch config export from 4.1 and to import @5.1/5.5 or next available version
Build a new vSphere 6.5 environment. Migration is not an option.

dv switch and vc config is major pain here any way if this can be reduced somehow to copy from source to destination
There is no upgrade patch from 4.1 to 6.5, you have left it far too long. 4.1 is now end of life, 5.5 is now end of life.

If you want to take the risk to upgrade from 4.1 to 5.5, and then 5.5 to 6.5, that is something you could try but I would not recommend, as 50% of upgrades fail!

Is the hardware you have for ESXi 6.5 even on the HCL ?

Is the hardware you have for ESXi 6.5 even on the HCL ?  -No Issue with H/w to be used for 6.5

Only crunch here is for dv switch and vc configuration ,if this can be sorted out somehow ,rest looks fine for as of now

Your biggest issue here is there is no longer any VMware Support for

4.1
5.5.

Is there nay way if we can get vc n dv switch config copied from 4.1 to any next version of vc/dv switch? -that will be great help here
The quickest and easiest method is to try an upgrade.
