Evault client intermittently disconnects Outlook clients from server

I have been blessed with the task of learning and troubleshooting evault enterprise server 12. So far things are going well but I have a few issues that I have been asked for assistance.

In our environment we have several users at any given point whose local vault cache we have to reset, because the Outlook client stops connecting to the server. In some of those cases building a new outlook profile works also.

I have searched the event viewer logs and cannot find anything really consistent with what is occurring (mind you I am not there when this occurs). All I hear is the last time the Outlook client (version varies 2010, 2013 and 2016) was such in such date and now it's not syncing. Consequentially, we copy all the items out of the "to archive" folder up to the exchange mailbox and reset the vault cache.

One last thing, the Exchange portion works in cached mode or in online mode. Any leads on how to attack this issue
