Fiber Media Converter

I got Cisco SG300 POE switch which is currently going from one office to another office via fiber media converter. These switches have mini GBIC. The distance between these offices is 200 meters. Basically SW1 connects to fiber media converter and then goes to a patch panel and then to SW2. If we want to bypass the fiber media converter what would be the best way and also what kind of cables would I use?

Something like this.  You can contact CDW for the proper SFP (mini-GBIC) transceiver module.  Proline is less expensive than Cisco modules.

ASKER

So I would get 2X of these transceiver module and plug directly from the patch panel to the switch?
At 200 meters you should be fine with multi-mode fiber with Gig or 10 Gig

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi-mode_optical_fiber

The equipment used for communications over multi-mode optical fiber is less expensive than that for single-mode optical fiber. Typical transmission speed and distance limits are 100 Mbit/s for distances up to 2 km (100BASE-FX), 1 Gbit/s up to 1000 m, and 10 Gbit/s up to 550 m.
would I plug directly from the patch panel to the switch?

Link to Proline Cisco SFPs  https://prolineoptions.com/search/3/4797/Cisco%C2%AE?searchId=1554736260070.  CDW sales rep would likely be able to help you do some leg work.
