Faulty Host Not Responing in VSAN

We have VSAN configured @VC 6.5 configured with 8 Esxi 6.0.0, 4600944]Host , suddenly 1 host not responding and disconnected from cluster ?

Caused multiple VMs lost.

How can we recover from this situation ,Can we take out faulty host and disk from VSAN with less outage /impact?

How to recover Faulty Host and Associated Disk to get back to normal situation

did tried to reset faulty Host --attached is screenshot where Host is stuck during reboot

From the screenshot it's not able to load lsi mr3 driver which is used for your controller.. this could be the driver is bad or controller went bad or hdd is not readable..
you need to try hardware diagnostics to ensure that the hdd is good.. post that reach out to vmware support on the steps to ensure data accessibility and how to join the host back online to the vsan cluster

Regarding Host Hardware coming from Cloud and issue is raised there-update is issue with OS so need to check @VMware

Can we do anything before we reach out to VMware support to make it recovered from VMware end/our end, as all physical disk are showing online @cloud for respective Host

Further How to remove this host n disk from existing VSAN so that others cant be impacted?

What we can do before we reach to VM support on this?

Hello,

VSAN team can validate if there is any issues with the disks post health check. I consulted to connect with support so that they can share the right guidelines to remove host/disk from the vsan cluster so that there is no dataloss and will share the steps post correct the ESXi host on how to join it back to cluster.
