Need to convert a repeating Flash Video to another format for web page

The user needs to convert a short flash video (.FLV) to a video loop of some sort that can appear on the home page of a website.  (I assume that a looping GIF might be the way to go)

How do I do this conversion?   I have tried a few websites that offer this service, but they either have trouble recognizing the .FLV file or only return an empty video.

I have the Adobe Creative Suite, but not all the apps are installed.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
