Issue with 802.1x wireless on windows 7 clients

Hi

I recently setup 802.1x authentication for our WIFI network.

Windows 10 and Mac clients can connect to the network with no issues. Windows 7 laptops however are not getting prompted to enter a username or password. It just says "Unable to connect to the network"

Please advise

Thanks

How do you deploy wireless client settings?
What policies have you set on your NPS server?

Windows 10 is better at sensing EAP-type when connecting, while Win7 doesn't and needs to be configured manually or by GPO.

ASKER

I'm using DualShield Radius servers, users would just connect to the wifi and authenticate with their user credentials.

Go to Network and Sharing Center (Control Panel) and click on "Connect to a Network"

If your Windows 7 Wireless card is compatible with your wireless network (may not be if old enough), then the settings for wireless are in "Connect to a Network"

Does that help you set it up?
