DHCP Loging

DHCP Logging Question:  I am running DHCP services on a Windows Server 2016.  I would like to know how I can capture all of the DHCP log activity for an indefinite amount of time in a format that humans can read.  Any suggestions are appreciated.

The server tool for this (I looked up Server 2012 R2 but it should apply is here.

Here is another article for DHCP Lease logs

These should give you what you need.

ASKER

Thanks John.....Was looking for a specific solution that is designed for DHCP log management and reporting (if one existed).  The log that is native is not very user friendly.
There is no Windows log that is a standard user friendly thing to read . We pore through these from time to time.

You would need to export to Excel or write a formatting program.

When I get a minute I will look for a third party reporting tool
