Daily notifications about the same device on Windows 8 laptop

Daily right lower corner is a notification window.  ManyCam is loaded on this system and I do not want to remove it but I'd like to stop getting the notifications for this specific device,
The same message appears daily.
I click dismiss and it's back the next day.

I do want to keep getting notifications so as to know of any vital ones. Thanks.

You should be able to right click on the notification and say "Stop Notifications for this app/device"

Works for Windows 10 and I am not sure about Windows 8.
nickg5Author Commented:
At the moment all I am seeing is turn off notifications for the compatibility assistant which implies all notifications.
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
So Windows 8 is old, no longer updated as to features, and so you must:

(a) live with it    OR
(b) correct or change the application.

Glad to help, but that is about all you can do.

The screenshot shows that it's windows 10, not 8.
Open the start menu, type "notifications" ->windows search should find "notifications and actions settings", which you will click. There, you can modify settings for each app.

I thought I had 8 and un-activated 10.

And I left it alone since 8 support ends in 2023. Even 10 ends in 2025.

So did you find what I pointed out?
nickg5Author Commented:
I've not used Google to locate the search bar. I got to settings another way and ManyCam is not on the list.

Ok, sorry, so it's not supported to turn off notifications.
So what I'd try next, would be to disable the autostart of that tray item.

Downloads autoruns https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns and run it (right click it, select "run as administrator") and then seach for ManyCam and disable all startup items of it, then restart your PC.
