Forms aren't meant for printing...convert your printing to reports/subreports and you will be just fine..
Just keep in mind that Report controls have the attributes of grow/shrink (Can Grow/Can Shrink) while form controls don't have this kind of functionality

I want to pull up a certain record with a combo box and print it - can I do that with a report??
You have to substitute you combobox with its display value of it to a textbox...

I would like to be able to edit my record from the form and print it without having to go to a report.  Suggestions??
Can you give a screenshot ?
As John said, you print reports. You don't print forms. Create a form that looks the way you want, then open it using the OpenReport command above.
There's a lot of things I would like to do in Access too, but I can't 'cause Access won't let me.....
Well ...  i guess that the current setup (printing form) suits just right and you don't want to invest time in replicating it as a form...The only thing i can think is to have a hidden text box just under the combobox that carries the display value of the combobox ..and when you click the print button the combobox becomes hidden and the textbox becomes visible..adjust its size and it should hold your text just fine...probably you should make it a bit taller and also adjust the height of the subform.
EDIT : if i am not mistaken your subform is datasheet...change it to continuous form in order to place the controls
