what's the column type in the MS and in the Maria DB?<br />
Any size limitations that can cause problems?<br />
Can you insert such a text manually (insert or update statement) into the MariaDB?<br />

Trying to transfer data from Microsoft SQL database (SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI<wbr />_AS) into MariaDB using MySQL workbench but whatever i do i get &quot;incorrect string value for column&quot; errors on columns containing various user entered text with various characters, diacritics etc...<br />

Trying to transfer data from Microsoft SQL database (SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS) into MariaDB using MySQL workbench but whatever i do i get "incorrect string value for column" errors on columns containing various user entered text with various characters, diacritics etc...
